A retirement community, often called a 55-and-up community, is a neighborhood where at least one household member must be age 55 or older. Residents typically live independently in their own homes or apartments. On-site hair care fits this lifestyle beautifully: no driving, no waiting room, and a familiar stylist who comes to you.

How on-site appointments work

Heni can come to a resident's home within the community, or coordinate with community staff to serve multiple residents during a single visit. Either way, the experience is private, unhurried, and tailored to each person. Group bookings and recurring visits are easy to arrange, which makes it simple to keep everyone on a regular schedule.

Retirement community (RC) pricing is a special rate offered to residents of Tampa-area 55-and-up communities. It's designed to make a regular in-home appointment easy to keep on the calendar. The exact rates depend on the service — cuts, styling, and gentle color are all covered — and I'm glad to send the current RC price sheet on request.

Do you serve individual residents or the whole community?

Both. I visit individual residents in their own homes within the community, and I also coordinate with community activity directors or resident services to see multiple residents during a single visit. Group visits are especially popular because they turn the appointment into a small social event.

How do group bookings work?

The community coordinator or a resident organizer sets a date, and residents sign up for a slot in advance. On the day, I set up in a common area — a clubhouse, a salon room, or a private residence used for the day — and see each resident in turn. Each person is billed individually at the RC rate. Recurring monthly visits are easy to arrange.

Can I still get color and highlights, or is it only cuts?

Full service. Cuts, styling, blow-dries, root touch-ups, highlights, and gloss treatments are all available in-community. All color includes a blow-dry, and everything uses the same organic, low-tox products I bring to any other appointment. Nothing about the RC pricing changes what services are on offer.

Do you visit only 55-and-up communities?

The RC pricing is specifically for 55-and-up residential communities, but I'm glad to visit any residential setting where in-home hair care makes sense. If your community isn't strictly 55-and-up but has a similar resident population, reach out and we'll figure out the right rate together.
